Two future devices may have been implicitly teased by Samsung. The company has posted two drawings of upcoming products on Samsung Display’s blog which might believably launch in the near future as a real Samsung device.
A device with a tri-folding panel reimagines the Galaxy Fold in the first drawing. The Fold’s need for an external screen will be eliminated with this new design. As it could fold down to a third of its unfolded footprint. It uses only the top portion of the frame. The tiny logo reads “Samsung OLED” at the bottom of the drawing.
A rollable screen that slips away into a tube’s size is pictured in the above illustration. This idea of a rollable screen that can be tucked away in a small space can be very appealing. But the only clear drawback appears to be that it will only be feasible to use such a fragile screen on a laptop board. More than just the ‘mobility’ of such an item, the benefit is only the ‘portability’.
While Samsung does not specifically declare that devices such as these imagined will be released. It definitely paints the impression that Samsung Display is able to produce panels for these kinds of products.
Within the year, one of the devices may become a reality. LetsGoDigital re-imagined a patent for the former tri-folding system in the form of a few mock-up renders. A dragging keyboard will feature this tri-folding mechanism which can be used in distinct positions. It will a new innovative design of this century.
We are eager to see how far designers can take the design variations of electronics. As we begin to enter a new period of progress in hardware great innovations are coming. Can you ever foresee yourself using a device such as one of the above? Let us know in the comment section down below.
